The Congregation

We are a group of imperfect people whose lives have been radically changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. This change should be visible in how we serve each other today, and in genuinely caring about you.

First Baptist Church of Bradford is Affiliated with the American Baptist Churches of Pennsylvania and Delaware. We are the oldest congregation in the Bradford area, founded in December of 1834.  Our commitment remains the same now as then - to be a people of the Lord Jesus and of His Word, serving and growing together in love and grace.

The Leadership

First Baptist Church is led by Elders, whose primary duties are teaching and preaching, prayer, and spiritual care.  A board of Deacons and Deaconesses cares for the physical needs of the congregation and the building.  Both groups of leaders are elected by the members of the congregation.
